What do we always say? The best way to pull a weed, is by talking about it! When we say that we mean that the best way to make something scary, infuriating, or saddening a little less powerful is by finding someone you trust and talking with them about it. Not only does this provide you with emotional support and maybe a solution to your problem - but it feels good to open up to the people with which you surround yourself.
Sometimes though, it can help to get a little bit of support from surprising places. Whether it's a Don't Give Up sign or a Kindness rock - friends and flowers are around every corner, you just need to open your eyes and see them!
Today, we've got a throwback craft that's making a comeback! We are making Positive Affirmation Cootie Catchers for when you just need a little boost.
It's simple - here is what you'll need:
A square piece of paper
First, fold all four corners of your square piece of paper in towards the center of the square. Then flip over your folded paper and repeat - fold all four corners towards the center.
Then slide your two index fingers and two thumbs underneath the four corners and pop open the cootie catcher!
Next, lay flat and on the flaps where you place your fingers, write your 4 favorite flowers. Flip over your flattened cootie catcher and write numbers in each eighth of the square. Then, flip open the number flaps and write four positive affirmations that are meaningful to you!
And there you have it! If you've never used one of these before, feel free to read the instructions here.
As always gardeners, don't forget to #PullYourWeeds!
