Positive Self- Talk At Home

  • Encourage your child to use positive affirmations. These can be simple statements such as "I am strong" or "I can do this".

  • Help your child identify their strengths and encourage them to focus on those instead of their weaknesses.

  • Model positive self-talk by using it yourself. This can help your child see the benefits of positive self-talk and encourage them to do the same.

  • Encourage your child to reframe negative thoughts in a positive way. For example, instead of saying "I'm not good at math", they can say "I'm still learning and improving in math".
